Singtel launches new Mobile Payment Product in SG’s largest Retailer

Dash Tap and Pay is the latest Singtel product launched recently in partnership with Singapore’s largest retailer i.e. NTUC FairPrice. For newbie readers, this product is a step towards advancement in the mobile payment sector which is fast picking up growth amidst mobile shoppers. Buyers can simply tap on their Android Smart Phones and make payments through Dash Tap and Pay.

Launched on 16th November 2015, Dash Tap and Pay is an innovative move on behalf of Singtel. It enables DASH customers to perform easy mobile payments at city’s 200 NTUC FairPrice retail outlets that include its Supermarkets, Xtra Hypermarkets and Cheers outlets.

The Company says that they are focussing on about half a million customers who shop at FairPrice daily. As commented by Miss Gan Siok Hoon, VP mCommerce, Singtel, the company has launched Dash Tap and Pay in collaboration with FairPrice to make the payment method easy, fast and secure for its customers.

Dash Tap and Pay is completely secure

The first priority while making payments through mobile handsets is security. Singtel assures that Dash does not compromise with security at the cost of convenience. As easy it is to pay by tapping on a mobile, the secured payment gateway is trustworthy and spam-proof. So, the customers can make swift payments by simply tapping on their smart phone screens without worrying about security hassles.

NTUC FairPrice has always continued to use innovative technology in making the shopping experience better for its customers. Mr. Gerry Lee, Deputy CEO of Operations said on behalf of NTUC FairPrice that collaborating with Singtel will bring in DASH for easy and flexible payment solutions. Modern world customers look for ease and speed, so DASH will be an additional advantageous payment option for FairPrice Shoppers.

Singtel is being competitive

The mobile payment market, as such, is growing at an unbelievably fast pace in Singapore. Singtel’s move is line with moving ahead of its competitors in this sector and enhancing customer satisfaction in DASH users. The company also recently partnered with Lazada to create an E-commerce payment system last month. The strategy is to integrate mobile payments into the Corporate system of the company which makes Singtel Singapore’s largest mobile payment merchant network

Why Dash Tap and Pay is unique

The new App is very user friendly and integrates easy tap and pay technology. Unlike the original App, Dash Tap and Pay features enhanced properties like:

  • Samsung Fingerprint Scanner
  • Apple Touch ID Authentication

Promotional offers for customers include a 5% cashback for customers who make mobile payments using DASH at FairPrice and Cheers outlets. No minimum purchase limit has been set and the offer is valid till 31st December 2015.

Singtel also celebrates its collaboration with FairPrice by releasing gift vouchers worth $ 12000 between 17th of November to 13th of December i. e. for 4 weeks. 10 winners can win $300 gift vouchers in weekly draw. Customers just need to pay by DASH at the counters to qualify.
